Yellowstone Park is unpredictable when it comes to the climate. It can be too hot during the summer season, or it can be truly cold during the winter season. The highest temperature ever recorded was 98°F, compared to 37°C, while the coldest temperature ever recorded was -66°F, compared to -54°C.
A portion of The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, a region that includes several National Forests and wilderness areas in those forests, is referred to as the Yellowstone National Park. Outside of Alaska, this is the largest piece of undeveloped land remaining in the United States. In fact, this is considered by many to be the largest ecosystem in the northern temperate zone. All of the species that originally inhabited the area now remain in the area as the wolf introduction program in 1990 has reestablished them into the wild within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Yellowstone Park is a home to various animals. There are found the smallest and harmless animals of the world, as well as there are found the world's most dangerous and biggest animals. But, as one of the most dangerous animals on this park are wolves. However, some people are adapted to their existence in this park, and they are not afraid to go hiking or exploring wilderness areas. There are also a lot of birds located in this park. Researchers found that there are 311 different species of birds, whose nests are located in this park's trees.
